I Feel Bad About Myself 


How you feel about yourself, or your sense of self-esteem, has a lot to do with how much risk you are willing to take. When you are depressed, it is hard to take care of yourself the way you might otherwise. Fearing the judgment of others can also make you act in untypical ways.

Often when a relationship has just ended, it is especially hard to be safe. When you are lonely, you may feel very vulnerable to a new partner(s). It may be easy to let people talk you in to doing things you don't really want to do. By acknowledging your vulnerability, you can be aware and more careful with a new sexual partner(s).
