Finger(s), hand and fist

When you put your fingers, hand or fist inside a partner's vagina or anus (fingering or fisting), use a well-lubed latex glove. Lots of lube will make it less likely that your partner will have small tissue tears. It is important to try to avoid any tears or cuts as these make it easier for STDs to be transmitted. Gloves must be changed if there is movement from vagina to anus or anus to vagina. A helpful hint for anal to vaginal fingering or fisting, is to wear two gloves. After you have penetrated one opening, slip the top glove off and use the other glove for the other opening. Gloves also protect your own hand if you have small cuts, abrasions or open sores.
